The No. 1 and 2-ranked teams were eliminated from the Indiana High School Boys Soccer State Tournament on Wednesday as first-round regional play was complete at 15 of the state's 16 sites.
The Floyd Central Regional was postponed to Saturday because of rain. The two regional semifinal matcheds will be played Saturday, with the championship match moved back to Monday night.
No. 1 Pike fell to No. 4 Zionsville 3-1 at the Brownsburg Regional while No. 2 Carmel dropped a 1-0 verdict to unranked Indianapolis Brebeuf at the Indianapolis North Central Regional.
Among the top teams who advanced to Saturday's Regional finals are No. 3 Evansville Memorial, Zionsville, No. 5 Avon, No. 7 Lake Central and No. 8 Washington.
