With the CoachesAid.com “Gameday Blitz” media bus tour rolling onto the campus of Desert Pines High School for the game between the Jaguqars and Valley’s Vikings it’s only appropriate that we highlight three of the players who will be locked, loaded and ready to battle for their schools. With the “Blitz” about to hit Nevada, let’s take a look at the “Hot List” athletes who are showcasing their skills throughout the Silver State…
Football
DALTON LEILUA/ERIC TUILOMA, Desert Pines
The Jaguar offense revolves around the play of QB Leilua and his favorite target the elusive and FAST Tuiloma. Leilua has completed 54% of his passes for 703 yards and 11 TDS thus far and Tuiloma has been on the receiving end of 19 of those, and is averaging over 23 yards a reception with six going for TDS. Quite a high profile combo, more than deserving of a spot on the HOT LIST.

GARIC WHARTON, Valley
The uber talented Wharton, who has already committed to Arizona, ran for 131 yards and threw for 91 more while running for one score and throwing for another in his team’s first win of the season over Chapparal. With injuries and inconsistency hurting the Vikings early on, it has been a much easier job to just put the ball in Wharton’s hands and watching the magic.

COREY COOK, Laughlin

Laughlin's Corey Cook leads the area in rushing and isn't a bad receiver either.
Cook will most likely be the first back to go over 1000 yards rushing in 2009 as his 979 yards leads the area. The versatile Cook, who also returns kicks and has good hands out of the backfield, has been the focal point of the Laughlin offense this year en route to the team’s hot 5-1 start.

CODY HOSIER, Pahranaghat Valley

LOGAN ESPINOSA, Mineral County
WOW! How about these numbers for Espinosa last week? Not only does his team win 58-0, but Espinosa runs for 336 yards and five touchdowns! Not to be content with that the Serpent’s star running back also throws for another TD.

ADAM REINKE, Indian Springs
The junior quarterback has already thrown for over 1100 yards and 15 TDS for the Thunderbirds. Reinke has also led his team in rushing averaging over six yards per pop and adding seven more TDS.
