Here are some top performers from last week's Illinois high school sports scene:

Corey Judd rushed for 220 yards on 16 carries for Sterling in its 30-15 win over Morton.

 

Quincy Notre Dame's Alex Rinella scored three times and assisted on two other goals, leading Notre Dame to a 5-0 win over Springfield.

 

Kurtis Knapp ran for five touchdowns as Mendota defeated Walther Lutheran.

 

Tyshawn Burch of Woodruff ran for five touchdowns and 315 yards on 32 carries in a 35-15 win over East Peoria.

 

Jim Benson had three sacks as Reed-Custer blanked Lisle 17-0 in an Interstate Eight Conference battle between two teams that made the playoffs last season.

 

In his first start, junior quarterback Tyler Waugh threw for 213 yards and six touchdowns to lead Alwood-ROWVA to a 56-13 win over Galva Williamsfield.

 

In its first win in over two seasons, Palestine-Hutsonville scored four times in the first 20 minutes on the way to a 43-12 win over Oblong in the annual Shrine Game.
