A: Accessing your CoachesAid.com account is easy. Just follow this link or click on the Login/Register icon at the upper right corner of the CoachesAid.com page.

Q: How do I select my favorite school so I can stay up to date on all of their sports whenever I access CoachesAid.com?
A: To select your school and gain access to all its related content, Login to your CoachesAid.com account and then type your favorite school’s name into the Find Your School box on the right side of the webpage. Click the GO button. A list of schools with names similar to what you typed will come up. Click on the name of your favorite school to access their school page, then click on the Set As My Home School button next to the school’s name. You’re set! Whenever you visit CoachesAid.com you’ll be taken to the page of the school you’ve selected.

Q: How do I sign update my personal information?
A: Aww, how considerate! Keeping your personal info updated helps CoachesAid.com serve you better. After you’ve registered and logged in, click the Edit Account button in the upper right corner of the screen and you’ll have access to change your info.

Q: I want a sweet avatar next to my name. How do I get an avatar?
A: CoachesAid.com uses Gravatars. Sign up on their website with the same email address you used to register for your CoachesAid.com account. Then, upload your photo to their site following their instructions. When you’re done, the image will automatically show up on your comments and forum posts at CoachesAid.com. If you don’t wish to display your Gravatar, you can turn off that ability as an option on the Edit Account page at CoachesAid.com.

Q: It’s a moral imperative that I have a forum signature at the end of every comment I make. How can I add a forum signature?
A: Forum signature options are available under the Edit Account page too. You’re limited to 400 characters so don’t bother trying to include the full text of War and Peace. You can add images and web links using the [img] and [url] BBCode tags if you’re web savvy. Be aware that the tags are case sensitive.

Crazy Errors

Q: Hey! CoachesAid.com is bringing up information for a state I don’t live in! How do I change it so CoachesAid.com shows information relevant to me?
A: Oops. Sometimes our computers get confused. To straighten them out, click on the Change Location button under the state’s name in the upper right corner of the webpage. From there, you can select your state. Also, if you want to explore a bit and see what other schools from around the country are doing, you can select the states that interest you via the same method.

Q: What’s the deal? My high school isn’t listed.
A: We’re working as hard as we can to make sure every school in the United States is included on CoachesAid.com. If your high school isn’t listed, contact us through the Contact Us form. We don’t want to leave anyone out!

Q: Busted! You’ve got the information for my school wrong. What should I do so it can be updated with the correct information?
A: Send us cookies … just kidding! Please Contact Us listing you school’s name, state, and what we’ve got wrong. We’ll fix it just as quick as we can. We take pride in accuracy in our reporting of all things related to high school sports.

Scores

Q: I’m at the game. How do I send you live scores?
A: Click on the scores button on the top of the page. You’ll see a new green button show up at the top right of the page that says Submit a Score. Click it and it takes you to the score submission page. Today’s date will be automatically selected for you. Next, select the sport being played. Then, type the name of the home school in the Home School box. A list will come up with schools matching the name you typed. Select the school from that list and enter their score in the Score box. Do the same for the away team, and then click the submit button. It’s that easy!

Q: Are live scores official? I screwed up and entered the wrong score.
A: Nope. Live scores are unofficial until they’ve been approved by our staff. If the live score is wrong, you can update it as the game progresses with the correct info.
